Exchange Street Bistro: A Trendy New American Dining Experience in Malden

Wonderful Experience at Exchange Street Bistro! I had a fantastic time at Exchange Street Bistro! From start to finish, everything was just right. The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients and a perfect balance of flavors. The service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall charm, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. I’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining spot!

Stopped in for brunch at this beautiful restaurant. The portions are large enough to share and the food was great. We ordered the French onion soup, Bistro Salad, chicken n waffles, turkey club and kids grilled cheese.

I don’t often leave reviews, but after my last two visits, I felt compelled to share my experience. Living nearby in the Everett community, I’ve been intentional about exploring more local restaurants rather than always heading to the North End—and I’m glad I did. During both visits, Julian and Natalie delivered truly top-notch service. From their warm, welcoming demeanor to their thoughtful recommendations, they made the experience memorable. What stood out most was their ability to genuinely connect with guests and take the time to build rapport with what they clearly see as future “regulars.” Although neither of them is pursuing long-term careers in the food industry—one aiming toward construction and the other dentistry—their customer service skills are exceptional. As someone who works in hospitality, I can confidently say they represent exactly what this industry needs more of: professionalism paired with a humble, authentic spirit. As a cook myself, I also appreciated how well they communicated with the chefs and were able to clearly explain ingredients and menu items, which speaks volumes about their attentiveness and teamwork. One suggestion for management would be to update the menu so it more accurately reflects what accompanies each dish, avoiding surprises when the food arrives. Additionally, during slower periods, it would be great to see management engaging more with guests to foster an “I want to be here” atmosphere. That said, Julian and Natalie were outstanding, and I truly hope they are treated fairly and recognized for the value they bring. Please share this with them. The Eggplant Parm Is Solid, I Didn’t Personally Enjoy The Pasta Or The Margherita Pizza. The Limoncello Cake Is The Best I’ve Ever Had.

Just as good as it looks on the website, seriously. The place is beautiful and the food is bomb. Waiter gave great suggestions to help with my indecisiveness lol. I felt very relaxed and enjoyed my time there, I cannot wait to go back. I heard the burger was top notch so I will try that next. If you have any food suggestions, send PLEASE the restaurant also allows for rentals for special occasions. I would definitely do an event there as well. Much space! Bathroom has great lighting for the photogenics here

One of my favorite go-to places! The drinks are always amazing and food is great. The bartender on Tuesday trivia nights, my fave- big kudos to her!

My partner and I came here for brunch Sunday 10/19/25 and holy smacks 12/10 - we sat outside and service was great. Food was absolutely amazing. We just moved close to here and I said we should come do brunch more often. Reasonably priced, especially for the quality.

Researched and found this place. Made reservations for Mother’s Day since we would be up this way. Got there for 12:30 which was the perfect time as the restaurant quickly filled up not too long after that. Inside is very nicely decorated and atmosphere was great. Big bar in the center. We got seated by the window which was great. They also have a nice little outside seating area as well. Started us with the bread and butter which was fresh. Couple of us tried the French onion soup which was one of the better ones I have had in a while very good. Everyone enjoyed their entrees which included the bake stuffed shrimp, brick chicken, eggplant parm and the veal piccata. Drinks were strong but well balanced in flavor perfect. Service was decent. Will definitely come back again when in the area. Great find.
